Adorning Flowers

I bought little girl a new dress to wear last Sunday. My mom kept saying that it looked too big and I just told her the price tag said it was a 6-9 months. In my excitement to dress my girl up, I made her a bracelet and a super cute flowered headband to match. When I went to get her dressed I realized the dress was indeed too big. I looked at the tag and it said the size was 12 months. (Go figure. Mom was right). :)

Unfortunately, I was too determined for her to wear it so I safety pinned it. :) You can make anything fit...if you really want it too, right? I think it turned out okay, it didn't look entirely too big for a five month old.

As a completely biased mother, I think she looked adorable!! She just melts my heart! I LOVE THIS GIRL!

Here is a flower that I made for myself. I never thought I could pull off wearing a flower but I'm wearing them whether or not I'm fashionable enough to do so.

I'm fighting the urge to go buy lots of different kinds of fabrics and colors to make lots more! We'll see how long I last before I find myself wandering the craft stores. The thing I like most is burning the edges.  (I was going to use the word singe-ing but wasn't sure how to spell it...looks like sing-ing.) Never knew I was a pyro did you? Me either. :)

I think the pyro thing is genetic, we all are. The flowers are awesome, I am very impressed with your skills, and you can totally pull of flowers. Rebekah is starting to look more like you. She's just as pretty

SO CUTE! Gosh, I am loving your posts lately. Where did you find the instructions to do that? I'm looking for something fun to wear in my hair for my wedding!

Gee no recognition to me for teaching you how to make the flowers. Gosh.

That one is really cute though, and I am impressed with Rebekah's. The dress doesn't look too big in the pictures and Yes Rebekah is very cute.

Caitlin, Stephanie did introduce me and teach me how to make the flower I am wearing...thanks STEPH!!

However, there is a video tutorial at the DIY Dish:

http://www.thediydish.com/2010/02/how-to-make-chic-pillows-thediydish-on-studio5/

they talk about using the flowers for chic pillows but you can attach them to a clip or bobby pin. I hot glued my layers together instead of sewing them and just a used a jewel from the jewelry section for the middle of my flower.

Here is the ribbon flower tutorial link little girl is wearing:

I didn't sew it I just hot glued it on. There are lots of different flower ideas out there...A LOT!

CUTE!!! I hardly ever get to see you guys on Sunday but, I did see you and Rebekah on my way to Primary and I thought, "Oh my goodness, that is a cute dress and hair bow Rebekah has on!" Then, like always, I forgot to say some thing about it on Tuesday.

Good job on the flowers and bows and bracelets! SO CUTE!! And you can TOTALLY pull flowers off! Could you teach me? I need a hair cut so bad...then maybe you could show me how to pull off wearing flowers in my hair.
