Growing up my mom and dad were wonderful at making each of us feel special on our birthdays. It was like the birthday fairy came to visit while us while we slept so that when we woke up the kitchen would be decorated with ballons and streamers. Andyour gifts would be so beautifully placed in the center of the table and the smell of our favorite breakfast would fill the air. And that wasn't all, my mom would make our favorite dinner and dessert that evening. It was a special day.
And even though I'm 27, I still want the birthday fairy to come and visit me in the middle of the night. Last year was a rough year since I was pregnant, Victory was extremely busy in his first year of teaching, and we started our move to our new apartment that day. So needless to say, it was a bummer birthday.
Victory tried especially hard to make sure that I had special day. He took the morning off so that he could take me to breakfast and spend sometime with me, which was lovely. We had another hour to spend before he went to school so went to the Children's museum since he hadn't been yet. I think he had more fun than Bekah did. :)

I'm glad you had a great birthday. A great birthday for a great girl. Did you make your cake or did Victory> I'm assuming you, but I'd be really impressed if he did. Isn't that the banana split cake? I remember having it one time at your house.
Well, happy birthday again!!
okay, so that cake looks delicious. what is it?
It my traditional birthday cake, Banana Split Cake. I'm still working on perfecting it...maybe I need to make it more than once a year. The cake is kind of a carmel cake made from scratch, with a banana filling and a delicious chocolate caramel frosting. I'll post the recipe sometime this week...maybe. :)
Banana Split cake never turns out right now that they don't have the Kraft Caramel Sauce, but it still is quite delicious. Sorry I was a day late, but Happy Birthday anyway! (It took Greg awhile before he perfected the art of the birthday fairy, but he's getting it now)
