I've been playing around with our taxes and trying to figure out the best way to file (jointly or seperately) to get the largest refund. I started off using the Free edition of TurboTax and it seemed like I was always getting different numbers. Then I tried H&R Block's free edition, it's a lot more simple and somehow calculated a larger refund than any of my several attempts I had with Turbo Tax. So for those who haven't done their taxes yet, I'd recommend H&R Block. However, they do charge $30 to file your State taxes.

Taxes....I mean cmon where are all the pics of that cute baby!!!
If you go through FreeTaxUSA they file your Federal for free, or you can just use them for State and they are only $9.95! You should also check and see if NE has a free thing from their website, I think UT does. Yeah for kids and taxes! :-)
ouch! we always use Taxact (online and free). I think State was 14.95 this year. We ditched turbo tax after we had to amend a return one year due to THEIR mistake. I've used Free Tax USA too, but when taxes get more hairy we switched to TAxact since they to schedules etc that we needed when Gary was self employed.
