Well, as you remember from the last post, I wasn't supposed to make it to 39 weeks but here I am with baby girl still in my tummy at 39 weeks:
I've been working very hard trying to get things ready for her. My apartment isn't perfectly organized or decorated yet but it is sufficent. I have most everything I think I need for her to come....so why isn't she coming???
I seriously thought I'd have this baby this last weekend....but nothing! All of the sudden I'm starting to realize the distinct possibility that I could go over my due date! That thought had never crossed my mind but now that I'm only one week away (and heard one too many stories at church yesterday) I guess I'd better settle in for another two weeks at least. OYE! Good luck to those who have to be around me! I'm not forseeing a happy Alissa.

Dumb doctors... they do it to me almost every time too! Good luck. I hope next time you post will be of your new baby.
...oh how i'm glad we aren't roommates any more! haha ;) Hang in there you cute lil prego momma! Can't wait for the post with baby pics!
I totally know what you mean when it comes to dumb doctors...I was reassured every week that Carter was ready to go until 2 days AFTER my due date when a "non-stress" test found out he was bum down. Strike 1 that 7+ years of education will make you smarter than the average pregnant woman. ;-) You think they'd learn by now to not say anything for sure to us. You are a VERY cute pregnant lady though, and I love the crib an bedding. She'll have a beautiful home and eventually a happy mom to come home too when she gets here. :-) Good luck!
Is there a day when it would be totally inconvenient for her to come? With our second, Tristan said I could have him anytime except the night he had to teach his first class of the semester at UNL. When do you suppose he came? Yep. Not only that day but Tristan had to cut the class short and rush in to the hospital - in a snow storm. He made it but it was tight. Look for that day that just won't work and maybe you'll see her.
I still vote for next Monday so I don't miss anything. Enjoy your last two days at work.
It's like waiting for a watched pot to boil....so frustrating. But, at least you know she's coming soon. You look great pregnant though, at least that's some comfort:) I took a 36 week pic, and I sure don't look half as good as you do at 39.
That baby was supposed to come today according my calculations, so I'll be upset if it doesn't happen today! Take it easy on Victory!
It is OK!!! You have a right to be upset, but you'll be no better off. Use the frustration in decorating. That might help. :)
Get in line Stacey! But I was told I shouldn't have the baby today because it's the long awaited game of the year for JV against Pius...I tell you what, I don't like trying to schedule this baby around football games...especially since she has a mind of her own to just stay put for who knows how long!
Debbie is hoping that you wate till the 20th (her birthday) I all ways wanted to hit my due date then I would know for shore that that baby was ready to come. But I know that is sometimes easer said than done. Good Luck we love you.
This will not be the first time she will try your patience! Sit back and try and relax. These will be the last moments for awhile. Don't try and rush it. Enjoy the moment- I know, I know you are very uncomfortable but she WILL Come and you know that it will happen sooner than later.
We love you and can't wait to see her!
Well, first I must say I agree with Jami on the roommate point :) and second, Ooohhh I feel your pain! Playing the waiting game is no fun, especially after the Dr. said you would have had her by now...good luck! And I hope to see that baby on the outside soon!
oh this so sounds like the Alissa I remember.
it will all be over before you know it and then you will have an adoreable little girl. Do you guys have a name picked out yet?
Miss you!
( oh and i need your current address, :)
hang in there Lis! You still look soo good for being 39 weeks. :) Love the crib btw! Do you guys have a name picked yet? Can't wait to see pics of her!
Yes, Alissa, I too am a bit on the ansy side, but I figure I still have a little while before I start going crazy. Landon came a week early but he was induced so I don't really have any idea to even venture a guess on when baby girl will come. GOod luck.
I know I've already commented on this post, but I got to thinking about all the things Greg and I did before having kids like; going out to dinner just because, and going to a movie, and going for a walk just before the sunset. Ahh, good times. Maybe you should enjoy a few more of those moments before you get so anxious for her to come. Enjoy your time together! That is if there isn't a football game to get in the way :)
I do feel bad for you....I hate the waiting game and the anxiousness that comes along with it. Although I have to rub it in I have never had to go past 37 weeks, but I was started with my 1st (It was awful) and had my 2nd unexpectly 4 weeks early no epiidural or anything it was so quick and easy. I probably would have died literally if I had to think about going over my due date. So I am so sorry, I hope your little Angel arrives sooner than later. Good luck with everything and take care. LOL.
